On November 11-12, 2021, The Asia Foundation organized training on Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) in Research with our core Partners under Ponlok Chomnes Program. The GESI training aims to provide the new researchers from the Program’s Core Partner institutions with practical GESI strategies that can be applied throughout the research process, including planning, implementation, data analysis, and recommendations. This training was delivered by an international consultant and a national consultant who has expertise in GESI. The training course was organized for 15 hours between 11 and 12 November 2021 virtually, with 7 (2 female) participants. They were from CPS, CDRI, CICP, and Future Forum who are the four new emerging research partners of the Ponlok Chomnes program. After the two-day online trainings, certificates of completion were distributed to all participants.

The Asia Foundation is committed to advancing and mainstreaming GESI principles throughout our programs and practices. It is an essential approach to maximizing inclusive development outcomes.

This GESI training is supported by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through The Asia Foundation’s Ponlok Chomnes: Data and Dialogue for Development Program in Cambodia.
