YCC\u2019s vision is to see a society with active participation of youth in strengthening democracy, economic development, good governance, social accountability, human rights, natural resource management, health, gender, and Cambodia\u2019s development.\u00a0YCC\u2019s mission is to foster greater participation among Cambodian youth and strengthen their capacity to be an informed and influential voice in the development of Cambodian society\u00a0while also promoting\u00a0honesty, peace, and sustainability.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559737&quot;:4,&quot;335559738&quot;:163,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">YCC\u2019s Main Activities<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559737&quot;:4,&quot;335559738&quot;:119,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Since\u00a0its establishment, YCC has strategized to provide capacity development to youth networks to ensure that they have\u00a0the\u00a0knowledge and capability\u00a0to advocate for their rights and their community issues. YCC does this through\u00a0training, coaching and mentoring.\u00a0One successful activity includes\u00a0YCC forming\u00a017 youth networks and providing\u00a0capacity building, resulting\u00a0in\u00a0these\u00a0key actors\u00a0 disseminating information and mobilizing community\u00a0members\u00a0to enhance their\u00a0social accountability in their community.\u00a0Consequently,\u00a090,000 youth (63,400\u00a0girls\/women) have developed their knowledge and skills\u00a0and\u00a0have\u00a0become\u00a0more active\u00a0in contributing\u00a0to Cambodian development\u00a0by acting as\u00a0a\u00a0bridge in engaging citizens\u00a0and subnational authorities\u00a0to meet the needs of citizens. Additionally, 540 of these youth\u00a0are\u00a0working in the government sector, 320 working in\u00a0the\u00a0private sector, and 230 working in non-governmental organizations.\u00a0Additionally, 450 commune offices in 15 provinces have developed their capacity in providing better services to citizens\u00a0(faster, more transparent,\u00a0and more\u00a0accountable), and 500,000 citizens\u00a0know their rights\u00a0around\u00a0public service delivery, and\u00a0have\u00a0become\u00a0more\u00a0active citizens\u00a0in\u00a0constructively opening dialogue to voice their demands.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559737&quot;:4,&quot;335559738&quot;:119,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Partnership with Ponlok Chomnes<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559737&quot;:4,&quot;335559738&quot;:119,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">YCC is implementing an activity\u00a0on\u00a0\u201cCovid-19\u2019s\u00a0Impact on Vulnerable Youth in Cambodia\u201d to assess the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on vulnerable youth groups and\u00a0to\u00a0provide evidence-based recommendations. This research will also provide\u00a0strategies\u00a0for how to best advocate for\u00a0support from government, private sector,\u00a0and civil society organizations.\u00a0The findings of the study will provide policy brief for government and related stakeholders to design inclusive and effective recovery measures for the most vulnerable groups,\u00a0focused on\u00a0adaptive actions\u00a0for\u00a0YCC\u2019s target groups in Phnom Penh, Takeo, Oddar Meanchey,\u00a0and Stung Treng provinces. The evidence from this study will be used as the\u00a0recommendations\u00a0for\u00a0how to undertake\u00a0an integrated public governance approach\u00a0and to promote\u00a0fair and inclusive recovery.
