In the afternoon of 4 February 2026, representatives from the Australian Embassy, Ponlok Chomnes Technical Steering Committee members, Strategic Partners, and GEDSI Consortium visited Preah Dak Village, Banteay Srei District, to learn more about inclusive village development—particularly how local data and community consultations are used in planning and decision-making.

The visit showcased models of sustainable community development and strong local identity, including community livelihoods, local products, innovative solar energy initiatives, and tourism.

Through the village tour and a sharing session on “Inclusive Village Development based on Local Data and Community Consultations,” led by H.E. Khim Finan, Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, our partners gained practical insights into data-driven planning approaches, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and pathways for scaling inclusive development models.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the District Governor, local authorities, village leaders, and community members for their warm hospitality and insight.
