In response to question, “How does the Provincial Hall work with research institutions and communities to use local evidence in policymaking, and what opportunities do you see to strengthen this collaboration?”, H.E. Moul Thon shares a vision for provincial economic resilience, focusing on “standing on our own two feet”. By priortising local raw materials and domestic processing, the province aims to reduce dependence on imports and ensure that local producers can meet market demands even during global uncertainties.

Furthermore, he underscores the importance of a “value-added” approach for farmers, encouraging them to focus on food security and local processing. This reflects the Forum’s goal of using local evidence and inclusive dialogue to create responsive, practical policy decisions for the future of Cambodia’s provinces.
