Policy Talk

The 5th National Education Policy Forum, co-organised by Ponlok Chomnes Strategic Partner, the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), convened around 700 participants onsite and online, including school leaders, community representatives, education officials, researchers, civil society partners, and development partners. Together, they reflected on how stronger school–community engagement can support the effective implementation of the Model School Standards across Cambodia. 

Over two days, participants explored:

• How schools and communities understand and apply the Model School Standards
• Strategies to enhance school–community collaboration for student learning
• Lessons, progress, and challenges from implementing the School Community Strategy and the Model School Standards Priority actions to strengthen school governance, accountability, and inclusive education practices
