Ponlok Chomnes Innovation Partner, Lakhon Komnit Organization (LKO), organised a community theatre event titled “Independence,” based on a real-life story. The performance was inspired by the lived experiences of community members and persons with disabilities, highlighting the barriers and challenges they face in participating fully in the society.

The event was attended by provincial authorities and other relevant stakeholders. Through Forum Theatre and Legislative Theatre, it created an inclusive platform for dialogue and reflection. Participants were invited to watch a performance portraying the lived experiences of people with disabilities. Following the performance, the audience engaged through Forum Theatre participation and breakout group discussions, creating opportunities to share perspectives, reflect on the issues, and explore ways to promote disability inclusion.

The Ponlok Chomnes Innovation Fund supports local initiatives by addressing specific local issues through collaboration between civil society organisations and local authorities​ to promote inclusive and meaningful community’s participations.
