On 3 April 2026, Ponlok Chomnes convened a sharing session on: “Monitoring and Evaluation of the Pentagonal Strategy Phase I: Understanding the Framework and Exploring Linkages with Cambodia’s Knowledge Sector” bringing together over 30 participants, including representatives from research institutions, governments, public institutions, and civil society organisations.
We were honored to have H.E. Lao Poliveth, Under-secretary of State, Office of the Council of Ministers, and Deputy Secretary General of GS-CME-PS1 for a deep dive into the Pentagonal Strategy Phase I M&E framework.
This sharing session aimed to provide partners with deeper understanding of the Royal Government’s approach to monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the Pentagonal Strategy. The discussion focused on the vital role of Cambodia’s knowledge sector in providing data, research, and analysis to support monitoring, learning, and policy formulation. Furthermore, the discussion explored ways to integrate Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) into the national strategy’s monitoring framework, ensuring that all research evidence effectively contributes to development for everyone, leaving no one behind.
Ponlok Chomnes Sharing Session is an informal platform where partners voluntarily come together to exchange knowledge, explore emerging policy issues, and learn from diverse experts, fostering dialogue, cross-learning, and reflection to strengthen Cambodia’s knowledge-to-policy ecosystem.
