Policy Engagement Partners

The Ponlok Chomnes Policy Engagement Fund provides funding to joint initiatives between the government and Ponlok Chomnes partners, to address a gap in research (data), communication, and/or dialogue while aligning with government priorities and promoting evidence-based, inclusive policymaking. It is designed to be timely and adaptive, building on good practices or learnings, allowing quick responses to emerging policy opportunities. Government partners are encouraged to use the Policy Engagement Fund to test models of engagement with research partners to then replicate with their own resources in future where feasible.

Policy Engagement Fund aims to:

  • Support government partners in using diverse and inclusive data, dialogue and communications to inform policies;
  • Promote collaboration between government institutions and Cambodia’s knowledge sector, including NGOs, think tanks, and universities;
  • Foster a stronger culture of research, evidence use, and inclusion within policymaking;
  • Ensure Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) principles are integrated throughout the process; and
  • Promote consideration for addressing climate change and building climate resilience where possible.
