Exclusive Interview #3 | Ponlok Chomnes Provincial Policy Forum 2026

We are pleased to release this exclusive interview series from the Ponlok Chomnes Provincial Policy Forum 2026. In our Exclusive Interview #3, Ms. La Chenda, Siem Bok District Vice Governor, Stung Treng Province, shares her valuable insights and experiences from the forum.

In response to question, “From your experience as a district leader, how does using local evidence and engaging communities influence the way decisions are made at the district level, and what difference does it make in practice?”, Ms. La Chenda explains that community-level evidence acts as compass for leadership. She shares how this information ensures that development is not only swift and targeted but also transparent and fair, directly addressing the genuine needs of local residents.

Furthermore, she highlights that for a district response to truly hit the mark, the data provided by communes must be accurate and precise, especially when identifying households vulnerable to natural disasters. This reflects the Forum’s goal of using local evidence and inclusive dialogue to create responsive, practical policy decisions for the future of Cambodia’s provinces.

Stay tuned for the exclusive interview #4 tomorrow!
