Ponlok Chomnes “Give to Gain” Campaign #4: Empowering Women in Research and Leadership for Cambodia’s Future
We are pleased to have H.E. Sor Vorin, Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Interior join Ponlok Chomnes in celebrating International Women’s Day 2026 under the “Give to Gain” campaign.
H.E. Sor Vorin shared his experience and perspective as a policymaker who has worked in local governance for many years. He emphasises that promoting women in research and leadership is essential for national development, as women represent around 50% of the total population.
He also highlights his involvement in drafting key government policies and laws related to subnational administrative reform and the promotion of women’s leadership. These policies aim to ensure that women, men and marginalised group are included in local governance processes so that local issues and community needs can be effectively addressed.
At Ponlok Chomnes, we work with our partners to promote women’s participation (and other excluded groups) in policy research and dialogue processes.
