Ponlok Chomnes Sharing Session #3 gathered partners, researchers, and local stakeholders to explore recent developments in Australia’s international development policies and their implications for Cambodia. Key outcomes included a clearer understanding of the Australian Government’s priorities with a steady aid and increased focus on Southeast Asia, governance, health, gender equality, and climate change.

Participants engaged with insights on aligning local CSO strategies with Australia’s Development Partnership Plan priorities—locally led development, GEDSI, and government-CSO-private sector collaboration—to enhance proposal effectiveness and policy influence. The session also highlighted the need for stronger coalition-building, leveraging youth and digital tools, and advancing sustainable CSO-government dialogue mechanisms for better research uptake and policy engagement.

Overall, the session strengthened understanding and collaboration among program partners to better position themselves in response to evolving international development trends.
