Ponlok Chomnes is pleased to share reflections from Ms. Khiev Pirom, Research Fellow at CDRI and member of the SheThinks Network, as she represents Cambodia at the Australasian AID Conference 2025.

At AAC2025, Ms. Pirom presented her research on “Impact Evaluation of the AGROW Project in Cambodia: Methodological Insights from a Mixed-Methods Approach” which explored inclusive rural development at the regional level, drawing on country experiences to address vulnerability and emphasising the importance of applying research insights within localised contexts.

As one of the researchers from the SheThinks Network attending the conference, Ms. Pirom actively engaged in plenary sessions and panel discussions, deepening her knowledge and exchanging ideas with global experts. She participated in discussions on labour mobility, food security, climate change, data analytics for development, public health, and inclusive growth, as well as all keynote sessions featuring policymakers, academics, and development practitioners.

Ms. Pirom connected with several participants interested in research about Cambodia, including the Director of Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation Practice from International Development in Greater Melbourne, with whom she will continue discussions on potential future research collaboration.

Ponlok Chomnes proudly supports our partners in amplifying Cambodian research and engaging in global policy dialogue.
