The Asia Foundation and Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) co-hosted a virtual workshop on May 13, 2021, to engage a number of stakeholders who are key policymakers and policy practitioners to discuss the findings from the study, which CKS undertook to understand how COVID-19 has impacted borrowers/debt stress, and how financial actors have responded to the crisis. By exploring these questions, the broader goal is to provide evidence-based suggestions to policymakers, financial institutions, and development actors to better protect economically vulnerable households during and after the COVID-19 crisis.
This virtual workshop was initiated by The Asia Foundation’s Ponlok Chomnes: Data and Dialogue for Development in Cambodia program, supported by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
