Participatory action research approach: inclusive voices being integrated into the research processes

My Village Organisation (MVi), one of the Ponlok Chomnes Innovation Partners, met with Samkouy and Koh Sneang commune councils on 24 July 2024 to review research tools for the upcoming field data collection for research on “Analysis of commune budget allocation for climate change and its impacts on marginalised communities: Case studies of commune administrations in Stung Treng Province.”

This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to driving inclusive research. Utilising the participatory action research approach ensures diverse voices are incorporated throughout the research processes.

The Ponlok Chomnes Innovation Fund supports local initiatives by addressing specific local issues through collaboration between civil society organisations and local authorities.

This research project is funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australian Embassy, Cambodia) and through The Asia Foundation‘s Ponlok Chomnes: Data and Dialogue for Development in Cambodia program.
