On 29 January 2024, The Asia Foundation’s Ponlok Chomnes program held its first Semi-Annual Meeting with the Technical Steering Committee. The objectives of the meeting were to update Ponlok Chomnes and the next six-month activities; present the Strategic Partners’ implementation plan; and seek collaboration and support from Technical Steering Committee members.

Some key takeaways included:

• Explore possible connections and collaborations among partners’ research;
• Improve collaboration with relevant ministries;
• Foster new collaboration with the private sector;
• Communicate the research findings and/or recommendations with the communities, in which the research is conducted; and
• Focus on policy solutions rather than identifying problems.

The meeting was attended by members of the Technical Steering Committee, Strategic Partners, GEDSI Consortium, the Australian Embassy, Cambodia, and the Ponlok Chomnes team.
