Building a water-secure Mekong through sharing knowledge.
Mr. Prak Rathyrea was honored to participate as a panelist in the prestigious #SUMERNETLearningForum2024: themed “From Knowledge to Actions: Building a Water-Secure Mekong”, held in Bangkok, Thailand, 28-31 May 2024.
Participants convened to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge, the fostering of new partnerships, and the advancement of progress towards water security in the Mekong Region.
Mr Rathyrea, with panelists from across the greater Mekong region, contributed to an insightful discussion on “Leveraging Regional Alliance for Knowledge Co-Production: Opportunity and Challenges Engaging Water Energy Climate (WEC) Nexus.”

The #SUMERNET Learning Forum serves as a platform for the dissemination of key research findings, enhancing dialogue and exploring innovative policy and practical solutions. The Forum also provides an opportunity to forge lasting partnerships among the diverse participants; including representatives from the Embassy of Sweden, the Embassy of Australia, SUMERNET grantees, SUMERNET Steering Committee, Secretariat, thematic advisors, project mentors, project boundary partners, development partners, governments, and other stakeholders to facilitate comprehensive and inclusive collaboration for positive change.
