Sharing sessions

On 4 June 2026, Ponlok Chomnes convened a sharing session on: “Cambodia’s National Research Foundation Strengthening the Research Ecosystem and Evidence-Based Policy” bringing together over 30 participants, including representatives from research institutions, governments, public institutions, researchers, and civil society organisations.

We were honored to have H.E. Dr. Hul Seingheng, Under-secretary of State, Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, for provided a comprehensive deep dive into Cambodia’s National Research Foundation (NRF).

This sharing session aimed to interpret how the structure, funding method, and priorities of the National Research Foundation will involve different actors, as well as determine changes in access to research funding and collaboration models. Furthermore, the session provided clarity on how partners can collaborate with the National Research Foundation, and examined risks related to inclusion and policy-relevant research.

Ponlok Chomnes Sharing Session is an informal platform where partners voluntarily come together to exchange knowledge, explore emerging policy issues, and learn from diverse experts, fostering dialogue, cross-learning, and reflection to strengthen Cambodia’s knowledge-to-policy ecosystem.
