On 12 June 2023, Analyzing Development Issues Centre (ADIC) in collaboration with Kamreang Migration Center (KMC) hosted a sub-national workshop on “Migration and Social Well-Being in the Context of Covid-19 and its Relevance to Development Policies and Plans” with 47 participants, 11 of whom were female. The workshop highlighted key lessons and findings from the ADIC study on understanding the social welfare of migrants and families on the Cambodian-Thai border during the Covid-19 pandemic. This workshop encourages collaboration among relevant institutions, including sub-national government agencies, local authorities, local communities, development partners and NGOs. At the same time, the workshop aims to promote research culture and research practice among sub-national planners so that they can incorporate research results into sub-national development plans, especially in a changing global context, rapid and ever-increasing risk.
This workshop was supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through The Asia Foundation’s Ponlok Chomnes: Data and Dialogue for Development in Cambodia program.
