Partnership with Ponlok Chomnes
In partnership with Ponlok Chomnes, KMR is implementing an action research study on “The Impact of COVID- 19 on Child Protection” that will be conducted in two communes namely, Snoeng and Bour which are located in Banan and Phnom Proek district respectively in Battambang province. This study will select 300 respondents (consisting of 150 11 to 17-year-old children and 150 adults) from five villages in the two target communes. The study seeks to find out the challenges and risk faced by children during COVID-19 Pandemic. The findings from the research will be used by KMR for improving its interventions and addressing the needs of children within its geographical area more effectively. Moreover, KMR expects that the findings and recommendations of the research will inform subnational policy on Child Protection System and the improvement of key stakeholders’ future interventions in addressing the needs of children through a dissemination workshop. Key stakeholders include district governors, commune chiefs, donors, NGOs in Battambang Province and its NGO network.
