On 18–19 August 2025, GEDSI Consortium consisting of WPM, GADC, and CDPO, co-facilitated the GEDSI in Research Training, bringing together participants from diverse backgrounds to explore gender equality, disability inclusion, and related principles under CEDAW. Over the two days, participants deepened their understanding of key concepts such as the difference between sex and gender, common stereotypes, and the foundations of disability inclusion. Through interactive discussions, individual reflections, and group exercises, participants examined their personal attitudes and perceptions, applied tools such as the Gender Equality Continuum, and explored practical ways to integrate GEDSI dimensions into research processes.

The training emphasised the importance of embedding inclusivity into every stage of research, from design to implementation, ensuring that the outcomes are sensitive to the needs of all communities. By sharing experiences and collaborating in a supportive environment, participants were inspired to champion more inclusive, gender- and disability-sensitive practices within their organisations. This initiative contributes to strengthening Cambodia’s research and policymaking landscape, promoting evidence-based approaches that reflect the perspectives of diverse groups in society.
