Ponlok Chomnes is pleased to celebrate World Rural Development Day 2026, under the theme “Rural Empowerment, Global Impact”. Today is a time to honor the leadership, resilience, and contributions of rural communities, and to reaffirm our shared commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable communities.

In this occasion, we are pleased to share a Cambodia’s National Policy on “Rural Development 2025–2035,” a national framework aimed at fostering prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable rural communities, and a policy brief by Centre for Policy Studies on “TOWARDS MORE INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES: Strategies for Promoting Social Inclusion and Equity in Rural Development.”

Through partnerships with the government, civil society organisations, and research institutions, Ponlok Chomnes supports:

• Evidence-based, and data-driven research documents
• Accessible communications of research products by diverse communities
• The elevation of the voices and perspectives of rural communities in public policy dialogues.

Today, we celebrate the progress made and commit to ensuring that diverse communities can meaningfully participate in contributing to the policy processes and a stronger future for Cambodia, ensuring that no one is left behind.
