The Asia Foundation’s Ponlok Chomnes program and the Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) co-hosted a Virtual Policy Talk on “Sihanoukville Urban Development, Socio-Economic Change, and Transformation in the era of COVID-19” on June 29, 2022.  With 40 participants from various organizations in Cambodia, including our speakers from Preah Sihanouk province and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, this virtual policy talk covered information on the result of a study on Sihanoukville Urban Development, Socio-Economic Change, and Transformation in the era of COVID-19, the status of the master plan of multi-purpose special economic development in Sihanoukville, and a sharing session on the current actions and framework for economic recovery in Sihanoukville.

This virtual Policy Talk was supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australian Embassy, Cambodia) through The Asia Foundation’s Ponlok Chomnes: Data and Dialogue for Development in Cambodia program.
