The Asia Foundation’s Ponlok Chomnes and the Centre for Policy Studies co-hosted a Policy Talk on “Labour Shortage and Challenges in Workers Recruitment in Agricultural Sector” on 21 January 2022, to disseminate the findings and discuss policy implication concerning labour shortages and employers’ challenges in recruiting workers in agricultural sector. The event convened about 30 people from both governmental and non-governmental institutions as well as academia to discuss challenges that the agriculture sector has faced and opportunities it has offered, including employment opportunities and emerging prospects in agriculture, due to COVID-19 pandemic.
This Policy Talk was supported by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australian Embassy, Cambodia) through The Asia Foundation’s Ponlok Chomnes: Data and Dialogue for Development in Cambodia program.
